What am I missing?

An article in today's CHE, subscribers only, but soon available, presents the AMAZING discovery by some that you can find out an author's identity in Microsoft Word by going to the summary in Properties, if that person has not excised it. As a journal editor, I knew this. Why is this such a discovery for some? The article presents this as a threat to the double blind review (please, can we say "anonymous" and get rid of "blind"...please?)

What am I missing here? This seems duh to me.
